For plastic I made the Flux type out of made and placed the letters on a sheet of A5 plastic and then painted over the sheet with a turquoise background. I then peeled the tape off the plastic to make the text have a see through appearance. It I tried several different ways of doing this as originally I was going to keep the tape on the plastic and not paint the background.
